MY FIRST MOVE
When I sent my first tweet in 2009, I felt like I had just joined a community of activists sharing ideas and information to improve people's lives. I was inspired by the range of topics - music, sports, film, politics - compelling people to take action.
My concern about human rights compelled me to make a move and send my first tweet, and I've continued making moves - both professionally and personally - ever since.
Below is a collection of op-eds, essays, and multimedia projects on topics I find most compelling today: innovative approaches to protecting and promoting human rights, security, and social reconciliation. And if your appetite is more of the 140-character variation, you can read that first tweet at @MyFirstMove.
